Suspect in 'caught on tape' arson facing murder, arson charges

Patrick Kelley, the man accused of starting the fire at the Butternut Street home that led to the death of Beverly Palmteer, was indicted on several charges Thursday.

The 56-year-old is now facing charges of second degree murder, first degree and third degree arson.

The arson was caught on tape by a crime camera, where a man walks up to the home at 931 Butternut Street at about 2 am on June 18, lights something and throws it on the porch.

Beverly Paltmeer later died from her injuries.
