The Cortland County Sheriff's Department is trying to locate the fourth suspect in a home invasion and stabbing and say the suspect could be in Syracuse.
On October 4th, deputies say four suspects entered a home in the Town of Cortlandville during the early morning hours. The suspects stabbed the female resident several times. Her injuries were non-life threatening.
According to deputies, more than $3,000 in money and cell phones was stolen from the house. The Cortland City Police Department stopped the suspects a short distance away after they left the house. One of the suspects ran away but the other three were arrested.
The Cortland County Sheriff's Department says it is working with the Syracuse Police Department to find the fourth suspect, Devon E. Williams. Deputies say Williams, a black male who is 5-foot-2 and weighs about 130 pounds, has been known to frequent different locations in and around the City of Syracuse. He is wanted for several charges in connection to this investigation.
Anyone who knows where Williams might be found is asked to call the Syracuse Police Department Criminal Investigation Division at 315-442-5222 or the Cortland County Sheriff's Department Criminal Investigation Division at 607-753-3311.
