Eric Woody, the Syracuse man police say shot and killed the owner of a south side pizzeria, was arraigned Tuesday morning.
Syracuse Police say the 24-year-old Woody shot and killed Shqair Shqair, the owner of Sabatino's Pizza and Deli, during a late night robbery attempt on October 1. Woody was on the run from police for more than a month, and was returned to Syracuse Monday after being located by U.S. Marshals hiding under a sink in a home in Niagara Falls.
Woody was arraigned in Syracuse City Court on charges including murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.
Woody is being held without bail and is due back in court for a pretrial hearing on Friday.
