Two new groceries are doing business in Syracuse this week:
On Sunday morning, the official ribbon cutting for PriceRite, at Erie Boulevard and Teall Avenue. The store bills itself as warehouse club-style shopping without membership fees or bulk buying requirements. It brings 130 full- and part-time jobs to the community, and is the tenth store in the chain, in New York.
Tuesday morning, the old P&C at Valley Plaza, off South Salina Street opens as a Tops. This weekend, crews have been putting finishing touches on the remodeling and trucks have started stocking the store. The parking lot is already decked out in streamers. That store will be open 6m-10pm, 7 days a week.
