A 23-year-old Syracuse man is arrested on rape charges.
The Madison County Child Advocacy Center and the New York State Police announced the arrest of Donald Eckhoff Wednesday night.
Eckhoff was charged after an investigation into an alleged sexual relationship with a 15 year old girl that occurred back in May of 2012 in the Town of Sullivan. Investigators say it was determined that Eckhoff met the girl through his job as a personal trainer.
State Police say Eckhoff has worked as a personal trainer at several gyms in Onondaga County.
State police are continuing their investigation and are asking anyone with information about Eckhoff to call 366-6049.
Eckhoff was arraigned in the Town of Sullivan court and was remanded to the Madison County Jail.
