Syracuse man arrested for robbery after leaving ID at the scene

7-Eleven on Grant Boulevard in Syracuse

A Syracuse man was arrested after he left his identification at the business he attempted to rob.

Syracuse Police say they responded to a report of an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven, at 1718 Grant Boulevard, around 12:14 a.m. Monday.

Police say the suspect entered the store and robbed the clerk with a sawed-off rifle.

As the suspect was exiting the store, an officer pulled up in front of the store and confronted the suspect. Police say the suspect dropped the gun and a backpack and took off running.

The suspect left his identification in the backpack.

Police say that following an extensive search the suspect was found hiding at 123 Darlington Road.

The suspect was identified as Raasjuan Bloodworth, age 19, of Syracuse.

Bloodworth is charged with robbery in the first degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree.

He is scheduled to be arraigned in Syracuse City Court on Monday morning.
