Syracuse Police are asking for your help to find five people accused of beating up and robbing a 43-year-old man as he was walking home overnight.

Investigators say the man was walking on Townsend Street, near Burnett Avenue on the city's east side when he was attacked by five men, thought to be in their early twenties. They took his leather coat, wallet, and cell phone before running south on Townsend Street toward Erie Boulevard.

The man made it home, and then a relative took him to the hospital where he was treated for various cuts and bruising.

Right now, the descriptions of his assailants are very limited. Police say one man was wearing a puffy jacket, three were wearing blue jeans, and another was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt.
