A Syracuse man is facing charges after police say he tried to break into a home in Syracuse early Monday morning.
Police responded to a home on the 800 block of Park street after a teenager called 911 about a burglary in progress. The resident told 911 he heard noise at the back door of the home and then saw someone walking around inside the house. Officers arrived and found a suspect hiding in the laundry room. He was arrested and taken into custody. The teenager in the house was not hurt.
Police have identified the suspect as Lawrence Frazier, 25, of Syracuse. Frazier has been charged with burglary in the second degree, attempted petit larceny and criminal mischief in the fourth degree.
Frazier was taken to the Justice Center and is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Syracuse City Court.
