Syracuse man killed in crash on Erie Boulevard this morning

A Syracuse man was killed in a crash on Erie Boulevard this morning.

It happened around 10:45 a.m. on the 500 block of Erie Blvd. East.

Syracuse Police say 53-year-old Theodore Gregory was unconscious when paramedics arrived at the scene. He was the only one involved in the crash.

Police say Gregory was driving a 2004 Audi A6 westbound on Erie Blvd. when he veered into the bridge abutment located between the east and west bound lanes of the street.

Gregory was taken to Upstate University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police say a medical condition may be to blame for the crash.
