Syracuse man sets clothes on fire in his Polk Street apartment
Tue, 30 Apr 2013 16:10:28 GMT — A Syracuse man is accused of setting fire to his apartment, 123 Polk Street #9, Monday evening around 5:35 p.m.Thomas P. Brennan, 54, is accused of setting fire to some of his clothes and a chair, which were against a wall in his apartment. Brennan then collected some of his belongings, closed the door, and started to walk away.Two Syracuse Police officers located Brennan at the intersection of Polk Street and Lime Street as he was leaving the scene. The Syracuse Fire department responded and extinguished the fire. There were no injuries.Police say the motive for the fire is unknown at this time.Brennan is charged with second degree arson. He is being held in the Onondaga County Justice Center.
