Syracuse man shot in the face, suspects still at large

A Syracuse man was shot in the face during an incident at 12:45 am Wednesday at South Geddes and Otisco Streets.

Police were called to the area after several people reported hearing shots fired. Officers found the victim, 25-year-old Takim Hawkins, who had been grazed by a bullet on the right side of his face.

Police say Hawkins was uncooperative and would not provide any information to investigators.

Officers found shell casing and broken auto glass on the scene, and were able to determine through the investigation that a black truck may have been speeding away from the scene.
