Syracuse Police arrest DeWitt man for burglary

Syracuse Police arrested a DeWitt man around 10am on Saturday morning for burglary.

Police received a 911 call for a suspicious person in the backyard of a home on the 800 block of Ackerman Avenue. The caller reported the man was carrying a box of electronics and articles of clothing.

Police located the man in the backyard of 825 Ackerman Avenue, and determined the items were stolen from burglaries that occurred in the area.

36-year-old Kenneth Mason of DeWitt was arrested and charged with felony of Burglary in the Second Degree (2 counts), the misdemeanors of Criminal Possession of Stolen property in the Fifth Degree (2 counts), Petit Larceny (2 counts), and the violation of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
