Syracuse Police investigate robbery on First North Street

Syracuse Police are investigating a robbery on the 1000 block of First North Street.
It happened Monday night around 6.
Police say the victim is a 26-year-old Syracuse man who was walking home from work.
While walking down the street, a teenager around 16-years-old approached him and tried to grab a phone from his hand.
The victim ran up onto a porch, but the suspect followed him.
Police say the suspect punched the victim in the head and knocked him to the ground, then stole his phone and ran away. He was last seen running east on Lawrence Street
Police say the suspect is is a black male and is around 5'9 with a thin build.
He was wearing maroon pants and a maroon sweatshirt. It's unkown if this robbery is related to other robberes that happened in the area.
