Syracuse Police Investigate Steuben Street Stabbing

Syracuse Police are investigating a stabbing that happened at 12:45 p.m. Saturday afternoon at 146 Steuben Street.
Police say 22-year-old Porshi Simmons was stabbed three times in the left arm by a 17-year-old female suspect.
Officials say the stabbing was a result of an altercation that took place after Simmons went to her boyfriend's brother's house and found her boyfriend with the suspect.
Police say Simmons lost a signficant amount of blood from the stabbings, and was unconscious upon officer arrival.
Simmons regained consciousness after direct pressure was applied to her injuries and she was treated for shock. She was transported to Upstate University Hospital. Her injuries are not life threatening.
