Syracuse Police investigating armed robbery at a Subway

The Subway store on James Street Monday morning.

Syracuse Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place at a Subway sandwich shop.

According to police, at 8:10 p.m. on Sunday, a man entered the Subway, located at 2500 James Street, holding a knife.

Police say the suspect told the employee that he also had a gun.

The suspect stole cash and ran out of the store. He was last seen running down James Street.

The employee was not injured.

Police say the suspect is described as a white man wearing a black leather jacket and black winter cap with a black scarf wrapped around his face.
