Police investigate shooting on Steuben Street

Syracuse Police are investigating a double shooting that left a man and a woman injured.

It happened just after 10pm Thursday at 145 Steuben Street.

Witnesses say that several people were drinking near the address when several muffled shots were heard coming from across the street.

Projectiles hit the two victims.

Two unknown men were seen getting into a dark colored car which left westbound on Kirkpatrick.

A tan SUV also left in the same direction.

One victim, a 26-year-old woman, sustained an injury to her chin, thigh and abdomen.

The other victim, a 26-year-old man, also sustained an injury to the abdomen.

Both victims were transported to Upstate University Hospital and are expected to survive. The man had emergency surgery for his injury.
