Syracuse Police preparing crowd control for possible Final Four celebrations Saturday

The Syracuse Police Department has already been meeting to prepare for crowd control Saturday night after Syracuseâ??s Final Four match up against Michigan.

Police say they are specifically targeting Marshall Street and Armory Square, where fans are expected to watch the games.

"We are in the planning stages now," said Sergeant Tom Connellan. "We are going to have substantial increase in manpower in the University area and Armory Square."

You may recall in 2003, after the Orange advanced to the championship game, students and other fans flocked to Marshall Street to celebrate.

Police were well prepared with added officers, some in riot gear, just in case trouble broke out.
