Syracuse Police say 3 women beaten with handgun, 2 forced to strip

Syracuse Police say three women were the victims of a South Side armed robbery early Friday morning. Two of them were forced to undress, all three were reportedly beaten on the head with the suspect's handgun

Syracuse Police are asking for the public's help as they investigate a robbery from early Friday morning, with bizarre circumstances.

Investigators say three young women, two 19 year olds and a 20 year old, were held up at gunpoint just after midnight Friday morning, at 300 Primrose Avenue, off Midland Ave. on the city South Side


During the incident, one woman was told to take her pants off, another her shirt. All three were hit in the head with the suspect's handgun, before their purses and their car were taken.

The car was found about 3 blocks away, behind 350 West Newell Street. The women did not need medical attention.

The suspect is described as a black man wearing a maroon sweatshirt and a black knit hat. He was reportedly armed with a small silver handgun.
