Syracuse Police to hold news conference about investigation into Saturday murder

Police are holding a news conference in Syracuse to discuss their investigation into the fatal stabbing of a 29-year-old man last weekend.

Officials are expected to release more details Tuesday morning regarding Saturday's early morning attack that killed Bryan Sheppard.

Police say he was stabbed during an argument around 1:30 a.m. in front of a supermarket and was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time later.

The Post-Standard of Syracuse reports that the man who stabbed Sheppard turned himself in to police and has been charged with second-degree murder.

Police haven't released information on the suspect or his arrest.
