Syracuse teenager shot in rear end while waiting at bus stop

A Syracuse teen is recovering after he was shot while waiting for a bus Wednesday night.

Syracuse Police say a 17-year-old male was standing at a bus stop at the intersection of East Fayette Street and Columbus Avenue around 11:15 p.m. when he suffered a gunshot wound to the buttocks. Police say he was taken to Upstate University Hospital for treatment of the non-life threatening injuries.

Police say they do not have any information on a suspect at this time, and their investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to call the Syracuse Police Department at 315-442-5222. All information will be kept confidential.
