Several major employers in Onondaga County are releasing their employees early as snow continues to pile up throughout the area.

National Grid will release its employees on a staggered basis to avoid major traffic jams around the evening rush hour. Some Syracuse University department heads are giving their employees the option of going home early.

Onondaga County are also releasing early those employees who live more than ten miles outside the city.

Traffic lights put on a special function so they will ease traffic throughout the city and make the ride home more efficient.

Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner is warning people not to panic and to be patient.
