Syracuse woman arrested for making meth at home with children inside
SYRACUSE, N.Y. —
A Syracuse woman was arrested over the weekend for manufacturing meth at a residence with children inside.
According to police. officers responded to 104 Roney Lake in regards to a welfare check of the children residing in the residence. When they arrived, they spoke with Claudia Davis, 27, who resides at the residence with her children.
When conducting their investigation, officers located materials and equipment commonly used in combination for the manufacturing of methamphetamines. Due to the volatile nature and possible hazardous potential of meth manufacturing, a number of residents were evacuated from the building until it was deemed safe.
Members of the New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team responded and worked to decontaminate the scene.
Davis was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine. She was lodged at the Onondaga County Justice Center pending her arraignment.
