Teenagers arrested after attempt to break into Jean Avenue home

Syracuse police have arrested two teenagers after they attempted to break into a home on Jean Avenue.
Police say a call came in around 9:25 a.m. Monday morning about two males attempting to break into a home on the 100 block of Jean Avenue.
Police say once officers arrived on the scene, they started searching the area and found two males matching the suspects' descriptions standing inside a fenced backyard of a home.
Police say as soon as the suspects were approached, they ran away. According to police, they were caught after a short chase.
According to police, the investigation determined that the 15 year old males had tried to break into a residence on the 100 block of Jean Avenue. Both males were arrested and charged with attempted burglary and criminal trespass.
Police say both suspects were taken to Hillbrook Detention Facility and will appear in Family Court at a later date.
Police aren't releasing the suspects' name because of their age.
