The town of Remsen is ready to welcome home its Olympic hero. Erin Hamlin is expected to be back in Central New York on Thursday, and Remsen is ready to celebrate her homecoming with a parade immediately upon arrival.
Hamlin is scheduled to land in Syracuse at 4:40 p.m. on Thursday. The parade is ready to begin around 5:30 that evening.
Hamlin will be escorted by police through Verona, Rome, Floyd, Stittville, Holland Patent and Barneveld on her way to Remsen. The parade will begin at the intersection of Route 31 and Main Street in Verona. It will conclude at the Remsen Junior-Senior High School.
Parade-goers are encouraged to bring signs, cowbells and horns to cheer for Hamlin as she gets home.
