Raising awareness about breast cancer is an ongoing effort across the country and right here in Central New York.
This month's edition of Syracuse Woman Magazine focuses on spreading the word about breast cancer. The cover article features Ann Marie Giannino-Otis, founder of Stupid Dumb Breast Cancer. She shares the message that awareness is more than just wearing a pink ribbon. Giannino-Otis' raw approach in sharing her breast cancer journey opens up the door for real conversations. You will learn about her journey and what inspires her to "be real" with her large online following.
The edition also features three women in the "Syracuse Women Inspire" section who are all breast cancer warriors. Each woman is surviving the disease and they each share their personal approach to the battle.
The "In Her Own Words" section features a local photographer's passion to bring women's beauty to the surface even after a life-changing event like a battle with breast cancer.
This month's "Fabulous finds" section features products from Roses For Breast Cancer which benefits local causes such as Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. You can also read more about cancer prevention through personal health and fitness and being your own health advocate during a visit with your doctor.
