Three men were arrested Wednesday after police say they were involved in a counterfeit clothing ring in Syracuse.
According to State Police, a month-long investigation into the possession and sale of sounterfeit merchandise led Troopers to search three local retailers. They are:
- CNY Clothing on Butternut Street- Northside Fashion on North Salina Street- G-Rollin on North Salina Street
Police say their searches led to the seizure of more than a thousand fake Nike sneakers, Timberland boots, Polo clothing, and North Face jackets. As a result, police say they have arrested three men in connection with these alleged crimes:
- 23-year-old Omar Ali Alharbi of Bellevue Avenue in Syracuse- 52-year-old Abed K. Zahran of Lorian Drive in North Syracuse- 28-year-old Flennard C. Jackson, Jr. of South Salina Street in Syracuse
Troopers say all three men are charged with felony second degree trademark counterfeiting. Jackson is also charged with felony second degree criminal possession of marijuana after police say they also found he had more then four pounds of pot.
Alharbi and Zahran were ticketed and are scheduled to return to Syracuse City Court. Jackson was arraigned in Geddes Town Court and released on his own recognizance pending a later court date.
