Thunderstorms cause power outages across Central New York

A powerful line of storms and heavy weather rolled through Central New York, causing many power outages.

As of about 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, more than 4,000 customers in Onondaga County were affected. In Oswego County, a little less than 2,000 are impacted. Power is estimated to be returned around 1:45 a.m. to Onondaga and Oswego Counties.

There are more than 10,000 people in the dark in the Rochester area, stretching into Northern Cayuga County.
