The most famous golfer in the world, Tiger Woods, will return to the Turning Stone green to help raise money for his college roommate's foundation in the 6th annual Notah Begay III Foundation Challenge.

The tournament is set for Wednesday, August 28 at the Atunyote Golf Club at Turning Stone.

This year's tournament will be in a best ball format.

There will be three teams: an American Team, an International Team, and an Asian Team.

The American team features Woods, Begay III, Bo Van Pelt and Rickie Fowler.

Nicolas Colsaerts, Charl Schwartzel, Henrik Stenson, and Lee Westwood will play on the International Team.

K.J. Choi, James Hahn, John Huh and Charlie Wi will take to the green for the Asian Team.

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the NB3 foundation, which helps fight child obesity and diabetes in the Native American community. The event has raised more than $4 million in the past five years.

This marks Woods' fourth appearance in the tournament. He played in the Challenge 2009, 2011 and 2012.

â??While the Challengeâ??s format and field may change slightly year to year, what remains constant is our focus on raising awareness and funding to fight obesity and type II diabetes among Native youth,â?? said Begay in a media release. â??Itâ??s shocking to see the disproportionately high rate at which these afflictions affect our young people. We, as a community, need to work to create change and reverse these statistics, and that canâ??t happen without support and resources.
