If you're a Time Warner Cable customer, you may need to budget extra money for your cable bill next month. Some should expect to pay more right away. Others will see the increase when their existing promotional package expires.

The hike only affects cable customers, not those who get telephone, internet or security services through Time Warner.

In a statement released to CNYCentral, the company blames the hike on the cost of cable programming, saying "These new prices reflect our continual investments in making your services more valuable and reliable, as well as significantly increased cost of programming."

The cost of basic cable service will not change, but standard cable will go from $63.70 to $68.20 a month. The Digital Explorer Pak will increase from $72.95 to $77.45 a month. The All the Best package will go from $153.99 a month to $160.49. The Get It All package will increase from $186.95 to $193.45 a month.
