Toys for Tots Drive Thru this Thursday 5-7pm

For more than 20 years, our TV stations have been heavily involved in the Toys for Tots program at Christmas. I have promoted it heavily on Channel 3 for all these years, and thanks to the generosity of our viewers, we have always had several thousand toys dropped off here at our studios.

Well, we are doing something completely different this year. We are doing Wayne TMs Toys for Tots Drive Thru this Thursday December 16th from 5:00 " 7:00pm, and what a great time this will be! Our primary sponsor, C & S Companies, like us, loves the Toys for Tots program, and we are truly grateful to have them on board.

If you have new, unwrapped toys you TMd like to donate to Toys for Tots, just load them into your vehicle and come on over this Thursday starting at 5:00pm. Drive right into our parking lot from the right hand side of the building at 1030 James Street (you TMll see signs and likely police officers directing traffic). Just follow the line of cars to the back of our building.

You might make a few twists and turns along the way, but eventually you TMll end up near our back door where some nice Marines will have you stop while they unload the toys from your car and reload them onto their large truck. You don TMt even have to get out of your car!

Once the toys have been unloaded, the Marines will wave you along to two or three other stops where you TMll have the opportunity to have hot chocolate and cookies, and if that TMs not enough, you might even be lucky enough to get a small gift as a token of our appreciation. And last but not least, what would Toy for Tots be without Santa Clause! He TMll be here too, so make sure to give him a wave.

If, for some chance, you just can TMt make it this Thursday for the official Drive Thru, by all means please just simply come by and drop your toys off at the front desk any weekday 9:00am " 5:00pm.

Hope to see you Thursday!
