The City of Syracuse has issued a traffic advisory for construction starting on Monday September 16.
Contractors will be moving a section of water main as a part of a road lowering project under West Genesee Street and the Erie Boulevard railroad bridge.
Traffic along West Genesee Street between State Fair Boulevard and West Fayette Street will be down to one lane in both directions.
The left turn from West Genesee onto West Fayette Street will be closed, and only one left turn lane will be open from Erie Boulevard onto West Genesee Street.
The City warns that delays are possible, especially during peak travel times, and encourages people to find an alternate route if possible.
The lane closures will be in effect for about one month.
