Traffic Alert â?? I-690 eastbound to shutdown at Peat Street

Thu, 20 Sep 2012 17:27:35 GMT — Interstate I-690 Eastbound will be shutdown at the Peat Street bridge this weekend. The repairs complement the work done on I-690 westbound last weekend.The Department of Transportation says the work will take place around-the-clock over the weekend. The DOT expects the bridge to be re-open at noon on Monday.I-690 Eastbound will be shutdown between Midler Avenue and Teall Avenue. Eastbound traffic will be detoured to exit at Teall Avenue (Exit 14) to Erie Boulevard and return to I-690 at Thompson Road (Exit 16).The on-ramps to eastbound I-690 will be closed at McBride Street, Teall Avenue, and Midler Avenue.The on-ramp from northbound I-81 to eastbound I-690 will also be closed. Traffic will be detoured to exit onto Almond Street, proceed north, turn right onto Erie Boulevard and return to I-690 at Thompson Road.Visit 511NY.org for additional updates.
