The Syracuse Police have issued a traffic advisory for Thursday due to President Obamaâ??s visit to Henninger High School.
Police say roads in near Henninger High School will be subject to temporary and extended closures throughout the day on Thursday.
Motorist are advised to avoid the area and expect extended delays on all roads in and leading to the area.
The Thruway Authority has also
issued a traffic advisory for Thursday and Friday
. Drivers on the Thruway may encounter slower traffic and temporary road closures.
President Obama is scheduled to speak at the University at Buffalo's Alumni Arena Thursday morning, and is expected to take the podium at Henninger High School in Syracuse at 6 p.m.
He is expected to lay out his plan for reducing college costs and improving the value of higher education.
The White House has not revealed where the President will stay overnight between Thursday and Friday, but the Federal Aviation Administration has
over Auburn for Thursday night into Friday morning.
