Travel nurses in Watertown accused of illegally dispensing drugs

      Heather Graham

Two traveling nurses are facing drug charges.

41-year-old Heather Graham, of 5504 Iradell Rd. In Ithaca, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, falsifying business records and unlawfully dispensing a controlled substance.

State Police say Graham was working for Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown as a travel nurse in the Emergency Department when she dispensed Dilaudid (hydromorphone) without a physician order. They say it happened twice from April 16 to May 10 of this year.

46-year-old Dawn Harrison, of 97 South Main Street in Dolgeville, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, falsifying business records and unlawfully dispensing a controlled substance.

State Police say she was also working as a travel nurse in the ER at Samaritan Medical Center when she dispensed Dilaudid, Norco and Tylenol with Codeine without a physician's order.

Graham and Harrison were arraigned in the Village of Adams Court and sent to the Jefferson County Public Safety Building in lieu of $1000 bail each.
