Trial for Baldwinsville man accused of leaving friend to die in crash

The case of the Baldwinsville man accused of leaving the scene of a crash that killed his friend will go to trial.

A plea deal was not reached in court Thursday. Glenwood Carr is accused of driving drunk on Bonestead Road in Clay in August and crashing into a pole.

Steven Sears, 40, was killed in the crash. He was a passenger in the car. Authorities say Carr took off and turned himself in a few days later. Police said Carr told a witness at the scene he was drunk and could not have another DWI.

In October, Carr pled not guilty to first degree vehicular manslaughter.
