Two arrested after deputies find mobile meth lab in Town of Sullivan

Madison County Sheriffâ??s Deputies were called to the scene of a mobile meth lab at about 2:40am Tuesday in the Town of Sullivan.
Two men were found asleep in a truck at the intersection of Bolivar and Fyler Roads.
Deputies found an active meth lab in the covered bed of the truck. The truck was rented from Home Depot, according to investigators. Deputies found the one pot lab, along with a hypodermic needle in the boot of one of the men and hydrocodone pills were also found in the vehicle.
44-year-old William H. Brightman, of Fayetteville, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine. Brightman is being held in the Madison County Jail on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
52-year-old Brian T. Machnik, of Cicero was arrested and charged with criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument. He was the passenger in the truck.
Brightman was also ticketed for a property damage hit and run crash that happened in the same vehicle earlier in the night. Authorities were looking for the vehicle from that incident when they found the truck this morning.
