Two Syracuse men are charged with possessing 174 bags of heroin during a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon.
24-year-old Yan Carlos Morales and 28-year-old Devorn Boyd each face felony and misdemeanor charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Morales also faces additional charges of driving a vehicle without a license, not using turn signals, and having broken rear lights.
Onondaga County Sheriff's deputies arrested the men after pulling them over on the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue in Syracuse. The sheriff's office says the heroin the men were carrying has a street value of $1,800. Deputies also seized $700 in cash.
The men were arraigned in Syracuse City Court, and sent to the Onondaga County Justice Center with no bail.
