Madison County Sheriff's Deputies have made arrests in two separate incidents where women were allegedly the victims of rapes.
In the first, 43-year-old Robert Prahl of Cortland Street in DeRuyter is facing charges of rape in the first degree and criminal sex act in the first degree, which are both felonies. He is also charged with the misdemeanor of unlawfully dealing with a child.
Investigators say Prahl provided alcohol to an 18-year-old woman and then engaged in sexual acts with her while she was in an unresponsive and intoxicated state. Deputies say the incident happened in the Village of DeRuyter. Bail was set at $10,000 cash and $20,000 bond.
In a separate and unrelated incident, deputies have charged 28-year-old Michael J. Domres of Peck Road of the Town of Sullivan with rape in the second degree. Domres is accused of engaging in sexual acts with a 15-year-old girl.
