Two Friday night snowmobile deaths under investigation
Sheriff's Deputies in Oneida and Oswego Counties are investigating snowmobile deaths.
In Oneida County, a man from New Jersey missed a trail curve and hit a bridge in Boonville. Michael Stanley, 44, from Old Tappan, had serious injuries and was pronounced dead at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Utica. Deputies say he was riding on the C7B Trail around 10:40 p.m. Friday evening, and hit the concrete bridge at Hayes Road East and Lachausse Road.
In Oswego County, deputies are investigating after a person was found dead near a snowmobile on County Route 8 in Granby. That report came in, about 8:40 p.m. Friday night.
