Two men indicted in connection with liquor store robbery and shooting of CBA coach

Two men were indicted by a grand jury on Thursday for allegedly robbing a liquor store and shooting the store owner, Christian Brothers Academy baseball coach Tom Dotterer, 77, in the eye.

23-year-old Delvon H. Harley and 19-year-old Shireff J. Williams III were indicted on robbery, assault, and attempted murder charges.

Harley and Williams are accused of shooting Dotterer in the eye during a robbery of his store, Syracuse Wine and Spirits, on January 23.

Police say the robbery of Dottererâ??s store is related to another robbery on the same night where two women were robbed of their purses at gun point on Taft Avenue.

Deoz Miller-Harris, 18, was indicted by a grand jury on Thursday in connection to the Taft Avenue robbery. He faces robbery charges.

Dotterer survived the shooting and will continue be the Christian Brothers Academy baseball coach if and when he is ready, CBA athletic director John â??Buddyâ?? Wleklinski told CNY Central last month.
