Two men robbed, one victim shot in Syracuse

      Syracuse Police are investigating a robbery and shooting that sent one man to the hospital.

      According to the Syracuse Police Department, two men, ages 31 and 29, were leaving a house located at 108 Orwood Place around 6:14 p.m. Thursday when they were approached in the driveway by two male suspects.

      Police say one suspect was armed with a knife and the other with a revolver.

      A scuffle broke out and the 31-year-old victim was robbed of his cell phone and cash. The 29-year-old victim was also robbed of his cash.

      Police say one suspect fired two shots at the 29-year-old victim, hitting him once in the leg.

      Officers say the shooting victim was taken to Upstate University Hospital with a non-life threatening gun shot wound. The second victim was not injured during the robbery.

      According to police, both suspects are described as black males with average build; one was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and the other wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt.

      The motive for the incident is unknown but police believe the victims were targeted.
