Two men stabbed during bloody altercation in Syracuse

Two men were stabbed during an incident at East Willow and Catherine Streets in Syracuse Wednesday night.

Syracuse Police say 21-year-old Moab Agnew-El was stabbed in the chest beneath his left arm at about 8:10 pm. He was taken to St. Josephâ??s in a private vehicle. Another stabbing victim, 26-year-old Jeffrey Tillman Jr., was found behind 607 Catherine Street with multiple stab wounds on his back and left shoulder and arm.

Tillman Jr. was taken by ambulance to Upstate fir treatment.

Investigators found that Tillman Jr. stabbed Agnew-El in the chest and then ran. Several people who were with Agnew-El chased Tillman Jr. and assaulted and stabbed him several times, police say.

Tillman Jr. would not provide suspect descriptions and police say he has been generally uncooperative.

Agnew-El suffered a broken rib and a punctured lung, but is expected to survive.

Tillman Jr.â??s stab wounds were found to be superficial. After his treatment, police say he will be arrested and charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
