Two Syracuse men targeted in drive-by shooting

Syracuse Police are investigating a double shooting that happened at about 12:05 am this morning on the 900 block of South Avenue. Police say 22-year-old Daquan Dowdell and 18-year-old Nakim Whorely were both shot in a drive-by shooting.
Dowdell was hit in the left hand, forearm and rear, and Whorely took a bullet in the upper left leg.
Neither man would cooperate with the police investigation, and could not identify the shooter.
Both men were taken to Upstate Hospital where their injuries were found to be minor.
