Two teens arrested for Craigslist robberies

Jonathon Seabrook, 19, was arrested in Syracuse Thursday on three counts of robbery.


wo teenagers have been arrested after State Police connected them to three armed robberies in Oswego County last fall.

Troopers say 19-year-old Jonathon Seabrook and 16-year-old Ethan Abbott found their victims through Craigslist. Victims were told to meet in the Village of Lacona, where they expected to meet a woman. When they arrived, Seabrook and Abbott assaulted and robbed them. In each robbery, money and personal property was stolen. Two victims received injuries that required medical treatment.

Seabrook was arrested on Tuesday in Syracuse and was charged with three counts of robbery. He was arraigned in the Town of Sandy Creek Court and is being held by the Oswego County Sheriff on $50,000 bail.

Abbott was arrested Thursday in Hartford, Connecticut. He is currently being held by authorities in Hartford as a fugitive from justice and is pending extradition.
