State police say one lane on the westbound side of the Thruway remains closed after two tractor-trailers collided, sending one of the drivers to the hospital.
Troopers say the crash occurred on Interstate 90 around 2 a.m. Thursday when two trucks, one of them a tandem tractor-trailer, collided in the town of Herkimer, just east of Utica.
Both westbound lanes were closed until just before 3 a.m., when the right lane was reopened. The left lane is closed.
Troopers say one of the drivers was taken to St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Utica. No information on the injuries is available.
Troopers, Thruway crews and tow trucks remain at the scene of the crash, but police say there are no significant traffic back-ups.
There's no word yet on what caused the crash.
