Two women are dead and one has been injured after a triple stabbing in Liverpool Monday morning.

Just before 11:00 a.m. a call came in to Onondaga County 911 for a report of a stabbing. Onondaga County Sheriffâ??s Deputy Herb Wiggins tells CNY Central that three women were stabbed at 915 Second Street, which is near Route 370. Wiggins when police arrived they found a male suspect still at the scene. He fled and was chased through the village by two deputies and Liverpool Police Chief Donald Morris. Just before noon, Liverpool School Superintendent Mark Potter sent an email to parents alerting them to the incident, saying â??The Liverpool Police are investigating an incident at a private residence near the Liverpool Elementary and Liverpool Middle Schools. There is police activity in the area, but I wanted to assure parents that the incident is not at the school buildings.â?? The district says the schools have not been locked down, and students are safe inside the buildings.

The women are described as being in their 20s or 30s. No names have been released and police haven't disclosed relationships between the people.
