SYRACUSE, N.Y.--- It's almost the weekend which means another concert at the Lakeview Ampitheater for the summer season.

Charles Walck is excited for some of the shows.

"Yeah I plan on going to the kings, Kings of Leon and possibly one other, but at least one," said Walck.

Now, you can hail an Uber or Lyft for a ride there.

Walck says he's got a ride this time, but he's got the ride sharing apps downloaded just in case.

"I've done ride sharing before and it seems pretty convenient, so you know I'll talk to my friend who's going with me and you know it's definitely an option in my mind," said Walck.

Others we spoke with say it's a huge relief to have the option at a venue that draws big crowds and traffic.

" It's kind of chaos so to have it kind of like be more concrete and stable it'll be good," said Jennifer Peterson, "I know it's kind of little space for parking coming in and out, especially during like Fair time. So I think it'll make it more convenient for everyone to travel safely and then as well as after the concerts," continued Peterson.

But what about the price? The Uber app says Karen Stocker's one-way trip from the Town of Salina to the amphitheater will cost about ten dollars.

"I guess it would be reasonable, I'd have to compare it to other transportation," said Stocker.

She says it's never a bad thing to have more options.

"We need something more beyond the cabs and the bus system, something more convenient, and competition is great for Syracuse," said Stocker.

Now it's up to the riders to decide.
