UPDATE: 5 charged in suspected Oneida meth lab bust

2:45 P.M. Update:

Oneida Police have charged five people after shutting down a suspected meth lab on Lenox Ave.

Police say 26 year-old Jessica Beilly, 29 year-old Joshua A. Wright and 18 year-old Joseph Arocho have been charged with four felony counts, including 2nd degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and 3rd degree unlawful manufacturing Meth. All three will be arraigned at Oneida City Court at a later date.

37 year-old Amber Jewell and 34 year-old Christine Denney were charged with lesser crimes and released on appearance tickets to return to court on September 2nd.

Police say they found $45,000 worth of liquid meth and 12 meth lab containers in the apartment. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and more charges may be pending.

2 months after busting a suspected methamphetamine lab on Lenox Avenue, police are again investigating a possible meth lab on the same block.

Police say shortly before 8 A.M. Saturday morning they searched a home on 406 Lenox Ave. in Oneida. Police say they found materials used for making meth in the apartment.

Authorities say five people were taken into custody. They have not been charged yet , but police continue to investigate.

On June 14th, police shut down a meth lab on the same street, at 414 Lenox Ave.

State Police also assisted in the operation.
