Update 10:30 am Friday:

CNY Central's Jim Kenyon has learned that an Oswego man accused of exposing himself is a New York State Parks Police officer.

33 year old Anthony Vidal was charged by Oswego City Police April 20th with 1st degree sexual abuse: forcible compulsion, a felony. Police say Vidal entered an Oswego business, removed his clothes and forced a female employee to touch him on his buttocks.

Police have confirmed that Vidal is employed by the New York State Parks Department as a police officer. Parks Department spokesman Dan Keefe says Vidal has been suspended without pay and is under investigation by its internal affairs division. Keefe says Vidal was not assigned to any specific park but is part of the Region 9 police force.

The alleged victim, Christina Huff tells Kenyon exclusively that despite an order of protection, she is extremely afraid for her safety. "I am very terrified. He's a State Police officer, he works for the parks. I'm scared. He came back so many times who says he's not going to come back again?"

Huff says the incident took place at her beauty parlor, Chrissy's Cuts where Vidal has been a customer for the last couple of years. She claims that two weeks after the incident, Vidal returned to her business while she was not there and frightened her co-worker. That co-worker, Kathy Pardee says Vidal entered the salon on Wednesday thinking she was alone. She says Vidal had parked his car down the block even though there were plenty of spaces in the parking lot. She also says Vidal unplugged the "open" signs in the windows. Pardee says she notified her boyfriend who was in the back of the salon fixing a faucet who called Oswego Police. Pardee also says Vidal partially exposed himself to her about 6 weeks ago, but she did not call police at the time.

Huff says she's contacted Oswego County District Attorney Donald Dodd in hopes of having Vidal put back in jail.

Vidal could not be reached for comment. Police gave his address on Tug Hill Road, but the woman who answered the phone said he did not live there.
