Utica man accused of abusing child, deputy says
UTICA, N.Y. —
The Oneida County Child Advocacy Center says a Utica man is accused of abusing a child.
Oneida County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Joseph Lisi, of the advocacy center, says 36-year-old Philip Kistner faces a charge of first-degree Endangering the Welfare of an Incompetent or Physically Disabled Person, a felony.
Lisi said that charge comes after an investigation into alleged child abuse. Kistner was arraigned in Utica City Court and sent to the Oneida County Correctional Facility on $2,500 bail, Lisi said.
The case is now being handled by the Oneida County District Attorney's Office and more charges may come, Lisi said.
The victim has been offered services through the Child Advocacy Center.
